Message from Richard Aisaican
Richard is on the council for Cowessess First Nations and helps oversee the Chief Red Bear Children’s Lodge Board and its operations.
We can now write our own future as a nation of people through action empowered by our children. Simply, as a Nation we can erase the bad and create the good. It’s important to recognize that we must own a better future. We have reacquired the right to dictate our own future so it is time to take forward moving steps. It’s not going to be easy and it’s not going to happen over night. When we wake up tomorrow to this new reality it is vitally important to take action. Confront our histories, resolve our differences, be inclusive of what we know is our way of being. We are all connected, we are all related to a common destiny. Let’s not be our own worst enemy, let’s give this opportunity a chance to find success.
